UM-Dearborn's Flanagan and Cullinan Earn Weekly Honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Ice Hockey Player of the Week Awards, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, the WHAC SIDs have chosen UM-Dearborn's Joey Cullinan as the Offensive Player of the Week and teammate Declan Flanagan as the Defensive Player of the Week. Cullinan scored the game-winning goal in a 5-4 win over #7 Grand Valley State on Thursday, then added five goals and five assists in two wins over Rochester in WHAC play. Teammate Declan Flanagan had an assist in the win over Grand Valley and scored three goals and five assists in the wins against Rochester. These are the first WHAC Player of the Week awards this season for both players.
