Cheer Honors Announced

SYLVANIA, Ohio - (COMPLETE HONORS) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced the 2022 season honors for competitive cheer in conjunction with the conference championship.

Concordia head coach Kate Edge was voted as Coach of the Year after leading the Cardinals to their fourth conference championship. Aquinas head coach Amy Jacobson was awarded Champions of Character Coach for her commitment to developing and displaying character in the sport.

Lourdes senior Haley Roe was named Cheerleader of the Year and sophomore Bianca Hrynciw from Concordia earned Newcomer of the Year. All-Conference honors were awarded based on an official voting panel during auditions at the championship.

In addition to All-Conference, the WHAC also named its All-Academic Team for juniors or above in academic standing with a cumulative 3.25 GPA. Nominees also must have been in attendance at the nominating school for one full year. The Champions of Character Team consists of one student-athlete from each school who best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, servant leadership, and sportsmanship.
