Concordia Finishes 5th at NAIA Cheer Championship

YPSILANTI, Mich. - (NAIA Release) - Concordia, the lone Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) representative and even co-host, finished fifth at the 2022 NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship at George Gervin GameAbove Center. The 6th annual event featured 15 teams from across the country.

Concordia was in fourth place after the preliminary performance with a score of 88.57 which accounted for 25% of their total. The Cardinals scored an 88.90 in the finals that accounted for the other 75% of the total score and finished with a team score of 88.82. Xavier (La.) took home the team championship with an event-high 93.70 while Indiana Wesleyan finished second with a score of 92.58. St. Ambrose (Iowa) (92.17) and Dickinson State (N.D.) (90.04) followed at third and fourth.
