Competitive Cheer Championship on Saturday

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - (TOURNAMENT PAGE) - The 2023 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Competitive Cheer Championship is slated for Saturday, Feb. 18 Garth Pleasant Arena on the campus of Rochester University. The event starts at 11 a.m. and features eight schools - Aquinas, Brescia, Concordia, Lourdes, Madonna, Rochester, Point Park, Siena Heights.

The preliminary round will be a random draw order and scores will seed the teams for the final round with teams competing in reverse rank order. Teams compete every 10 minutes for prelim and final rounds. Each team's overall score is calculated by adding 25% of the preliminary score and 75% of the final round score. In the event of a tie, the score from finals will be used to break the tie.

The winner receives the league's automatic bid to the NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship March 10-11 in Ypsilanti, Mich.
