Aquinas and Concordia Compete in NAIA National Dance Championship

YPSILANTI, Mich. - (NAIA Release) - Aquinas and Concordia represented the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) at the 7th Annual NAIA Competitive Dance National Championship. The championship, hosted by Concordia, was held at the George Gervin GameAbove Center on the campus of Eastern Michigan. 

It was the first appearance for Concordia and the Cardinals registered a prelim score of 78.70 and a finals score of 79.07 for 10th place. Aquinas scored a 78.83 in the preliminary round and had a final round of 77.93 for 11th place.  Neither team received deductions in the preliminary round. 

St. Ambrose (Iowa) won the championship with a record score of 93.40. Midland (Neb.) was the runner up with 89.76 points while Grand View (Iowa) rounded out the top three with 86.64 points. Friday's preliminary performance accounted for 25% of team's totals, with the finals on Saturday comprising the other 75%.
