Aquinas Wins Fifth-Straight WHAC Competitive Dance Title
ADRIAN, Mich. - For the fifth consecutive year Aquinas has claimed the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Competitive Dance Championship. The event was hosted by Siena Heights University.
The Saints posted an overall score of 90.0975, improving on their 2023 score (82.18) by nearly eight points. Aquinas remains the only team to win the title since the WHAC first sponsored the sport in 2020. AQ scored 87.8 in the preliminary round that accounted for 25% of the overall score, and 90.83 in the final round for the overall score.
Host Siena Heights had a stellar day, placing in second place with an 80.23 in their preliminary round and 83.7 in their final round for a total of 82.8325. Madonna checked in at third with a 72.73 prelim and 73.33 final round for a 73.18.
Teams will be back in action on Friday (Mar. 15) as they will host the Northeast Regional Qualifier, hosted by Aquinas. The first-place winner of the competition will earn an automatic bid to NAIA Nationals.
