2024 Competitive Dance Honors Released

ADRIAN, Mich - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced 2024 conference honors for Competitive Dance following the conference championships hosted by Siena Heights University on Saturday, March 9.  

Honors include: First Team All-Conference (six members), Second Team All-Conference (six members), Dancer of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Coach of the Year, Champion of Character Coach and All-Academic. First and Second team All-Conference, Dancer of the Year and Newcomer of the Year are selected by a four-member officiating panel at the event. 

The 2024 WHAC Dancer of the Year is Lindsey Koshowsky of Concordia. The Newcomer of the Year was awarded to Charla Sheofsky of Aquinas. The Coach of the Year, as selected by a vote of conference head coaches, was Lucy Gould of Madonna. The Champion of Character Coach, also selected by coaches votes, was Lauren Wilson of Lourdes. 

In addition to All-Conference awards, the WHAC also released its All-Academic and Champions of Character honors. The All-Academic Team consists of sophomores or above in academic standing with a cumulative 3.25 GPA who have been in attendance at their school for one full year. The Champions of Character Team is comprised of one player from each school who best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
