Indiana Tech Wins Men's Basketball Title

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Indiana Tech claimed the 2022 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Men's Basketball Championship posting an 18-2 league record. It's the second championship for the Warriors who also won the 2019-20 title and with the championship comes the top seed for the WHAC Tournament starting Feb. 23 on campus sites. The tournament features the top eight teams in the final season standings.

Cornerstone finished second at 15-5 while Lourdes and Madonna tied for third with 13-7 records. Last year's champion, Rochester, fell to 12-8 for fifth and Aquinas finished even at 10-10 for sixth. Lawrence Tech (9-11) and UNOH (8-12) rounded out the top eight. Concordia and Siena Heights both finished at 5-15 and UM-Dearborn ended at 2-18 to miss the tournament.
