Men's Bowling Honors Released
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - (Complete Honors) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced its conference honors for men's bowling in conjunction with the conference tournament at ThunderBowl Lanes.
Indiana Tech senior Marcus McClain was named Bowler of the Year after rolling a league-high 216.19 average through the four jamborees. James Bennett, also from Indiana Tech, earned Newcomer of the Year as the highest finishing freshman/newcomer.
First and Second Team All-Conference honors were awarded based on season averages. Head coaches in the WHAC voted Tom Osborne of Indiana Tech as Coach of the Year and George Bell of Madonna as the Champions of Character Coach.
In addition to All-Conference, the WHAC also named its All-Academic Team for juniors or above in academic standing with a cumulative 3.25 GPA. Nominees also must have been in attendance at the nominating school for one full year. The Champions of Character Team consists of one bowler from each school who best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, servant leadership, and sportsmanship.
