WHAC Teams Compete in NAIA Bowling Nationals March 21-23

The NAIA Men's and Women's Bowling Championships are set to take place March 21-23 at Five Star Lanes in Sterling Heights, Mich. The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference will be well represented at the two tournaments with three men's teams and two women's teams competing. Defending men's national champion and WHAC member Lawrence Tech will once again serve as the event host. On the women's side, Concordia qualified as the WHAC tournament champion while Indiana Tech, the regular season champion, earned an at-large bid. On the men's side, WHAC tournament champion and co-regular season champion Lawrence Tech earned the league's autobid. Co-champ Indiana Tech earned and at-large bid as did Concordia, who will be competing in the tournament for the first time.

The automatic qualifiers were determined by conference/group championship, conference/group regular-season winner or conference/group regular-season runner-up. The remaining teams not receiving an automatic berth are selected for an at-large berth by the bowling selection committee made up of coaches and administrators from across the NAIA.

The championship will open with baker play to decide seeding on Thursday, March 21. Once seeding is confirmed, brackets will be announced and teams will compete through a double-elimination bracket for The Battle of the Red Banner. The NAIA Men's Bowling Championship is hosted by Lawrence Tech University (Mich.) and will take place at Five Star Lanes.
