Indiana Tech falls in NAIA MSOC quarterfinals

DECATUR, Ala. - (NAIA Release) - Indiana Tech's quarterfinal match at the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship didn't turn out the way the Warriors hoped at Jack Allen Soccer Complex. The sixth-seeded Warriors played the No. 3 Mobile (Ala.) to a 0-0 tie after two overtimes to force the match into a shootout where IT fell 4-3.

Indiana Tech managed 11 shots throughout the contest, with none of them being on goal during the 110 minutes to Mobile's seven of 16 shots being on goal. Jaume Salvado was stellar in goal, saving all seven shots in regulation and both overtimes to force the shootout. Mobile advanced to the semifinals with the 4-3 advantage in PKs.

Mobile improves to 17-2-1 and will face seventh-seeded Columbia (Mo.) in the semifinals. Indiana Tech finished their historic season 18-1-4, tying the the school record for the most wins in a season in program history.
