UNOH Bows out in NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship Quarterfinal

MOBILE, Ala. - (NAIA Releases Day One | Day Two | Qfinals) - Ninth-seeded UNOH went 2-1 at the 2022 NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship at the Mobile Tennis Center, exiting after a 4-0 loss to top-seeded Georgia Gwinnett (Ga.).

In its opening match, UNOH found itself down after the doubles competition and lost the first completed singles match to No. Oakland City (Ind.), but won four-consecutive singles matches for a 4-2 win. The No. 1 singles match was the only one left unfinished.

Against Montreat (N.C.) in the second round, the Racers again dropped the doubles point and soon found themselves down even more after Montreat won the first two singles matches. UNOH responded, winning the rest of the singles matches for the 4-3 win.

The quarterfinals saw No. 1 Georgia Gwinnett continue its title defense, sweeping the Racers 4-0. UNOH held a pair of leads in singles action after falling in doubles play, but the Grizzlies quickly fired off three straight wins to close out the match.
