Indiana Tech's Haynes, Cornerstone's Huynh win Indoor Weekly Awards
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
WHAC SID's have selected Esau Haynes (Indiana Tech) as the Track Athlete of the Week and Nick Huynh (Cornerstone) as the Field Athlete of the Week. Haynes wins his third award of the season thanks to a first place finish in the 60m at the Ashland Jud Logan Light Giver Invite. His time of 6.69 earned him 1st place out of 35 runners and was an NAIA A standard. Nick Huynh of Cornerstone wins his first weekly award thanks to a victory in the Weight Throw at the Grand Rapids Hall of Fame Classic. His throw of 17.87m was a personal best and NAIA A standard.
