Rogers, Brownlee and Ayala Earn Player of the Week Awards

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Volleyball Player of the Week Awards, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, WHAC Sports Information Directors have selected Eduardo Ayala (Lourdes) as the Attacker of the Week, Raekwon Rogers (Indiana Tech) as the Defender of the Week and Nathaniel Brownlee (Lawrence Tech) as the Setter of the Week. Ayala's week was highlighted by hitting a school-record .760 with 20 kills in a three-set win over Aquinas. In total he had 45 kills and hit .341 in a 2-1 week for Lourdes. Rogers was a major force at the net for Indiana Tech in its 1-1 week, tallying 17 total blocks. Brownlee paced the Blue Devils' offense, dishing out 117 assists (11.70 per set) to help the LTU to a 2-1 week. His 56 assists in a win against SMWC was just five shy of his own school record. Both Ayala and Brownlee win their second player of the week awards this season.
