Lawrence Tech to Represent WHAC at NAIA Men's Volleyball Championship

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – [Pool Play Schedule Bracket] The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced the 2024 NAIA Men's Volleyball Championship qualifiers. The 12-team field will begin play on April 30 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse.

This year's field includes eight automatic bids, three at-large selections and one host berth. The automatic berths are determined by conference/group regular-season or tournament winners. The remaining at-large bids were determined by a selection committee made up of coaches and administrators from across the nation.

Action inside the Alliant Energy PowerHouse will open with three days of pool play, starting on April 30 and ending on May 2. The semifinals will take place on May 2, and the championship will take place on May 3.

Hudl TV will be the official home of the NAIA Men's Volleyball National Championship streaming. It will broadcast all pool play matches at the final site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Qualifier Highlights

  • The Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) and Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) qualified the highest number of teams out of their conferences, with three teams each.
  • Four teams are making their first appearance: Lawrence Tech (Mich.), Mount Mercy (Iowa), Reinhardt (Ga.) and Westcliff (Calif.).
  • Grand View (Iowa) and Saint Xavier (Ill.) have garnered an appearance in all five championships.
  • Grand View (Iowa) holds the highest number of championship wins in the 2024 championship field, with a record of 11-3.
  • Defending champions, Vanguard (Calif.) return to the championship field. Grand View (Iowa) is the only other team in the 2024 field that has won a title. The Vikings won the Battle for the Red Banner twice in 2021 and 2022.
  • Reinhardt (Ga.) enters the championship field with an impressive 24-match win streak, followed by Saint Xavier (Ill.), which has a 15-win streak.
  • Seven of the 12 qualifying teams also qualified for the 2023 championship: Georgetown (Ky.), Grand View (Iowa), Jamestown (N.D.), OUAZ (Ariz.), Saint Xavier (Ill.), The Master's (Calif.) and Vanguard (Calif.).
