Softball Tournament

SYLVANIA, Ohio - (Tournament Page) - The bracket for the 2022 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Softball Tournament hosted by Indiana Tech at Pacesetter Park May 4-6 has been set. Madonna takes the top seed as the Crusaders won the regular-season championship with an 18-4 WHAC record and 29-5 overall. UM-Dearborn (17-5, 26-10) takes the second seed after finishing the highest since the 2017 campaign when there was a three-way tie for first. UNOH (16-6, 21-15) takes the third seed while Indiana Tech sits in the fourth spot with records of 15-7, 22-21. The next two seeds have Aquinas (14-8, 34-12) at fifth and Cornerstone (11-11, 16-18-1) at fifth. There was a tie for the final two seeds with Lawrence Tech (10-12, 13-29) getting the seventh seed over Siena Heights (10-12/21-18) based on head-to-head tiebreaker procedure.

The double-elimination tournament starts May 4 with all eight teams playing at 4 p.m. The next round of games are at 6:30 p.m. that same night. May 9 has been reserved as the inclement weather date.
