Top Two Seeds Advance to WLAX Tournament Finals
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - (Tournament Page) - The top two seeds in the 2022 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Women's Lacrosse Tournament will play for the title after winning their semifinal games. No. 1 Lawrence Tech defeated fourth-seeded Indiana Tech 18-5 while second-seeded Siena Heights beat No. 3 Aquinas 24-14.
Siena Heights travels to Lawrence Tech for the title game on April 23 at 1 p.m.
Semifinals - April 21, 2022
#1 Lawrence Tech (14-0) def. #4 Indiana Tech (8-6), 18-5
Lawrence Tech pushed to a 9-2 lead after one period as Bella Burke scored half of her game-high six goals. The second period saw the Blue Devils tighten up their defence by not allowing a goal while scoring five more. The offense slowed in the final two periods with LTU scoring only four goals and Indiana Tech notching three.

Siena Heights used a strong first two periods to advance to the title match. SHU took the early lead with seven goals in the first period sparked by three by Emily Pringle. Aquinas picked up two goals in the first before opening the second period with another two. SHU responded with five unanswered goals and then scored two of the next three goals to take a 14-5 lead. The teams were evenly matched in the last two periods with SHU outscoring the Saints 10-9.
