LTU's Acluche Named NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (NAIA Release) Emma Rittman of Cumberlands (Ky.) has been named the NAIA Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, and Anabelle Acluche of Lawrance Tech (Mich.) has been named the NAIA Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from March 4-10 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unafilliated group nominees. 

Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and Twitter.

NAIA Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

Emma Rittman, Cumberlands (Ky.) - SO - Midfielder

  • Three-time NAIA National Player of the Week posted another strong week with a dozen goals, seven assists, and 19 points.
  • Recorded a new season-high with six goals in the victory over No. 9 Benedictine (Kan.).
  • Set a new program record with 18 draw controls in the win over No. 10 Indiana Tech.

NAIA Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

Anabelle Acluche, Lawrence Tech (Mich.) - SR - Goalkeeper

  • Started and played in all three games last week for Lawrence Tech.
  • Anchored the three come-from-behind victories by making 44 total saves.
  • Over 180 minutes between the sticks, Acluche averaged a save percentage of 63.8%.
