Top Seeds Advance to WLAX Finals - LTU hosts IT Saturday at 5 p.m.

A pair of dominant performances in the semifinals from #1 Lawrence Tech and #2 Indiana Tech set the stage for a battle of the top seeds in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) finals on Saturday in Southfield, Mich. Lawrence Tech hosted #5 seed Bethel and handily defeated the Pilots 15-8. LTU scored five times in each the first and second and added four in the third and one in the fourth all while holding Bethel's attack to just four goals prior to the fourth quarter. Bethel added four goals in the final stanza but it wasn't enough to keep the Blue Devils from advancing the WHAC finals for the seventh consecutive time.

Second-seeded Indiana Tech also got out to a hot start and never looked back in its 17-5 victory over #3 Marian. The Warriors outscored Marian 17-3 through the first three quarters. Marian added a pair in the fourth to close the gap to 17-5 where it would end. Indiana Tech earns a place in the finals for the first time since 2019, when they were the top seed and defeated #2 Lawrence Tech 14-11. This is Indiana Tech's fifth all-time appearance in the WHAC finals.

The winner of Saturday's finals will earn the WHAC's automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship Tournament.
