Women's Soccer Honors

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - (COMPLETE HONORS) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) released its season honors for the 2021 women's soccer season as voted on by the head coaches. Regular season champion Aquinas took three of the five individual awards while Lourdes took the other two.

Hannah Crum repeated as Offensive Player of the Year after scroing 14 goals and assisting on 11 others. Defensive Player of the Year went to Merin McDermott as she anchored a back line that conceded just 10 goals while scoring eight of her own. AQ head coach Lewis Robinson picked up his second Coach of the Year honor. Emmy Rodger earned Newcomer of the Year with 74 saves and four shutouts in goal for Lourdes. Rodger's coach Jackie Phillips was voted as the Champions of Character Coach for her dedication to building character through sport.

In additon to the individual honors, the WHAC named its All-Conference Teams including an All-Newcomer Team, an All-Academic Team for junior and above in academic standing with cumulative 3.25 GPA and in attendance at nomination institution for one full year, and Champions of Character Team consisting of one member from each team who best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
