Nelson and Lichtensteiger win final weekly wsoc awards

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Final Women's Soccer Players of the week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, the WHAC SIDs have chosen Lawrence Tech's Gabi Nelson as the Defensive Player of the Week and Aquinas' Maeva Lichtensteiger as the Offensive Player of the Week. Nelson posted two shutouts and made 21 saves in two WHAC tournament games to send the Blue Devils to the finals. He only allowed 1 of 4 PKs into the net to punch LTU's ticket to the finals. Lichtensteiger helped Aquinas to a 7-0 win in the quarter finals and she was a part of the first four goals with a goal and three assists.
