Women's Indoor Athletes of the Week swept by Indiana Tech

Loanie Cellard and Kylin Nichols of Indiana Tech took the weekly awards in women's indoor track and field for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC). Cellard earned Track Athlete of the Week placed third in a combined men's and women's race walk event as the first female to finish. Nichols was named Field Athlete of the Week after winning the high jump with a personal-best mark.

The reigning national champion in both in the indoor and outdoor race walk kicked off the 2021-22 season with an automatic qualifying standard at Tech's home meet, taking first among women while placing third overall in the combined race...ranks first in the NAIA.

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Kylin Nichols, Indiana Tech

Competing for the first time since Feb. 13, 2021, Nichols hit the automatic qualifying standard in her season opener while winning the high jump at Tech's home meet...she set a new personal-best by clearing 1.68m/5-6 and ranks first in the NAIA.
