Indiana Tech Crown Women's Indoor Track & Field National Champions

BROOKINGS, S.D. - (NAIA Release) - Indiana Tech posted 127 points to win the 2022 NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field National Championship at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex on the campus of South Dakota State University. It's the third team title in the last six years (2017, 2021, 2022) as Warrior head coach Doug Edgar was named Coach of the Year. The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) saw 42 All-Americans and eight national champions.

Tech saw 29 All-Americans and seven national champions, including two relay teams. IT owned the jumps as Destiny Copeland won both the long jump and triple jump and Jaunita Webster-Freeman captured the high jump. Lonie Cellard repeated as the 3000m racewalk champion while Lisa Voyles won the 1000m. Tech was also crowned national champions in the DMR and 4x400 relay.

Aquinas finished 10th behind Maggie Whitney's national championship in the 800m while the Saints saw seven All-Americans. Madonna finished 26th with five All-Americans and 10 points. Siena Heights had one All-American for 4.5 points and 43rd place. Cornerstone also had one All-American and finished 50th with two points.
