SHU's Jackson, Concordia's Korte win weekly honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

WHAC SID's have selected Faith Jackson (Siena Heights) as the Track Athlete of the Week and Lena Korte (Concordia) as the Field Athlete of the Week. Jackson won both the 60m and 60m hurdles at the Flaminio Classic with times of 7.87 and 8.77 respectively. Her time in the hurdles was good for an NAIA A standard. Korte won her third award and second in as many weeks as she once again won the shot put with an A standard mark of 13.98. She finished second in the weight throw with a toss of 13.64. This was her second consecutive meet winning the shot put.
