Indiana Tech's Warthen, Concordia's Korte Win Weekly Awards

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's. 

WHAC SID's have selected Jamaya Warthen (Indiana Tech) as the Track Athlete of the Week and Lena Korte (Concordia) as the Field Athlete of the Week. Warthen had a huge weekend, winning both the 60m and 200m at the Ashland Jud Logan Light Giver Invitational. Her 7.44 mark in the 60m and 23.81 time in the 200m were both NAIA A standards. Lena Korte wins the Field Athlete of the Week award for the fourth time this season thanks to her win in the shot put (13.94m) and second place finish in the weight throw (15.30m).
