IT's Grenyion, Concordia' Korte nab weekly honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's. 

WHAC SID's have selected  Soyinne Grenyion (Indiana Tech) as the Track Athlete of the Week and Lena Korte (Concordia) as the Field Athlete of the Week. Grenyion broke the school record with the top 400m mark in the NAIA with a time of 54.10. She also ran a leg in the first-place 4x400m relay team. Both of Grenyion's efforts at the GVSU Big Meet earned were NAIA A standards. Lena Korte once again earned Field Athlete of the Week honors, this time for a National Championship performance. Korte won the shot put at the NCCAA Indoor National Championships with a throw of 14.43. That throw was a school record, meet record, and personal record. Additionally, she finished fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 14.97m. This is Korte's fifth award this season. 

PCC Sports specializes in the construction and design of artificial turf fields, running tracks, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and surfacing of tracks/courts. PCC Sports is a rapidly growing company based near Kansas City, MO and has a footprint throughout the Midwest and Southern United States. PCC Sports is affiliated with ASBA, FieldTurf, Beynon, and a member of Post-Tensioning Institute.
