WHAC Teams Finish in Top 20 at NAIA Women's Cross Country Nationals

VANCOUVER, Wash. - (NAIA Release) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) saw three teams finished in the top 20 at the 2021 NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championships ran at Fort Vancouver National Historic Championship Course. Cornerstone's third-place team finish is the highest in program history as the Golden Eagles posted 149 points and two All-Americans in Nygia Pollard (7th) and Anna Martin (9th). Aquinas finished in 10th and Indiana Tech was 20th as Lisa Voyles earned All-American honors for her 23rd-place finish.

Three individuals from WHAC schools also competed: Kateri Mills and Erin Seibert of Madonna finished 55th and 90th, respectively, and Mallory Tognetti of Cleary was 110th.

Milligan (Tenn.) posted 122 points to win the team title, edging out St. Francis (Ill.) in second with 141 points. Alyssa Bearzi of Milligan won the individual title as she passed two runners in the final push in a time of 18:14.9.
