Cornerstone 20th, Nieuwkoop 12th at Cross Country Nationals

VANCOUVER, Wash. - (NAIA Release) The lone team representing the WHAC at the 2023 NAIA Women's Cross country National Championship in Vancouver, Wash. picked up its sixth-consecutive top-20 finish at the meet. Cornerstone, behind a 12th-place individual finish from fifth-year senior Haley Nieuwkoop, finished 20th overall with 497 team points in the 6k race on Nov. 17. Nieuwkoop earned All-American honors for her efforts. The next fastest WHAC runner was Indiana Tech's Lisa Voyles who finished her senior year with a 37th place finish and a time of 22:29.7, earning All-American Honors for the second consecutive year. The top 40 individual finishers earned NAIA All-American status.
