Opening Day of Baseball

LIMA, Ohio - (Tournament Page) - Both pods in the 2022 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Baseball Tournament started play today. Pod A hosted by Lawrence Tech saw each of the three teams (LTU, Cornerstone, Madonna) all finish with one loss each. Pod B hosted by UNOH with Indiana Tech and Concordia was only able to get two of the three games.

Pod A continues on Friday with Cornerstone battling Madonna and Lawrence Tech facing the winner. Pod B resumes Friday with the postponed game between Indiana Tech and UNOH and then the two teams playing again.

Indiana Tech senior Hayes Sturtsman tied WHAC record for strikeouts in a game with 17 against Concordia.
