NAIA Baseball Opening Round Unkind to UNOH and Madonna

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - (NAIA) - UNOH and Madonna both went 1-2 in their respective 2022 NAIA Baseball Opening Round brackets to end their seasons. Fifth-seeded Madonna dropped its first game to fourth-seeded Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) in the Kingsport Bracket before bouncing back to defeat second-seeded Warner (Fla.). That pitted the Crusaders against MVNU once again where they lost by one run to finish out the year with a 28-14 overall record.

Sitting as the second seed in the Upland Bracket, UNOH started with a win against host and third-seeded Taylor. Top-seeded Southeastern (Fla.) handed the Racers a loss and then fifth-seeded Bryan ended UNOH's season. The Racers finished the season with a 38-14 record.
