Cornerstone's Vega, LTU's Erhardt Win Weekly Honors
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Baseball Players of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
WHAC SID's have selected Lucas Vega (Cornerstone) as the Pitcher of the Week and Jason Erhardt (Lawrence Tech) as the Player of the Week. Vega threw a 7-inning complete game shutout to wrap up the team's spring break trip. He struck out eight, walked three and allowed just four hits in the winning effort. Erhardt had a strong spring break trip as well, reaching base in all six of the team's games. He slashed .429/.478/.467 and had two doubles, a home run and nine rbi.
