The team with the best WHAC regular season record is declared the conference champion and receives the first of two NAIA automatic qualifying bids.

The winner of conference tournament receives league's second automatic berth to the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship Tournament. In the event the conference winner and the tournament winner are the same team, the runner-up of the WHAC Tournament receives the second NAIA qualifying bid.
