Aquinas' Blackwell named WHAC Player of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Women's Basketball Player of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

WHAC SIDs have chosen Alona Blackwell (Aquinas) as the Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Blackwell helped the Saints to a pair of WHAC wins thanks to back-to-back double-double performances. In wins over Cleary and UM-Dearborn, Blackwell averaged 26.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game while also added 12 assists and three steals. Blackwell wins this award for the third time this season.
