Madonna wins women's volleyball championship

LIVONIA, Mich. - Picked as the preseason favorte, the Madonna women's volleyball team didn't disappoint. The Crusaders dropped just two matches enroute to winning the 2021 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Women's Volleyball title. It's MU's 17th overall title and first since 2017. The title places Madonna as the top seed in the upcoming conference tournament that starts Nov. 10.

Defending champion Cornerstone finished second with a 16-4 WHAC record. Indiana Tech rounded out the top three with a 15-5 conference record.
