WHAC Announces Partnership with WOW Health
Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Commissioner, Eric Ward, announced today that the conference has partnered with WoW Health as the official "Healthcare and Mental Health Platform" of the WHAC.
"All of our WHAC member-schools are diligently monitoring and aiding student-athletes with their mental health concerns," said Ward. "Having a partner like WOW Health to collaborate with and rely on for professional counseling and assistance should be a reassurance for our student-athletes and their parents that we are doing everything we can to provide a conscientious, comprehensive approach to healthcare and mental health issues, and provide a safe space for our student-athletes in which to learn and compete."
WoW health was founded in 2018 with the mission to make healthcare transparent, affordable and accessible to all.
"WoW Health is thrilled to partner with the WHAC in expanding access to mental health services for its student body," said CEO of Wow Health, Dr. Jawad Arshad. "We recognize the significant social stressors that students face, many of which can be effectively managed through accessible and supportive counseling services. Through this collaboration, WoW Health is committed to fostering an environment where students feel empowered to prioritize their mental well-being. We look forward to working with the WHAC to create meaningful, lasting support systems that enhance student health and success."
