Cleary Announces Llerena as Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach

HOWELL, Mich. - (Cleary Release) - Cleary announced the hiring of Serafin Llerena as its new head coach for cross country and track & field. Llerena will coach both the men's and the women's programs. A native of Bangor, Llerena has extensive experience in the area. He spent the last five years as the head men’s and women’s cross country coach for Jackson College and also served as the head boy’s and girl’s track and cross country coach for Jackson Preparatory and Early College.

Llerena graduated from Olivet College with a bachelor’s degree in sports and fitness management in 2011. At Olivet, he ran cross country and track for four years and was named team captain his last two seasons. He is currently pursuing a master's degree from Western Michigan and is set to finish at the end of 2023.
