Cornerstone Takes Outdoor Field Athletes of the Week
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) named Ryan Shinabery and Ashley Verplank of Cornerstone as its Outdoor Field Athletes of the Week. There were no nominees for Track Athlete nominees.
Shinabery won the men's award after finishing fifth in the hammer and 11th in the shot at the IWU Polar Bear Invite. Verplank won the women's honor with a first-place mark of 3.80m in the pole vault at the same meet.
