Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week to Matkin and Kleinfelter
Jace Matkin of Madonna and Tyson Kleinfelter of Concordia picked up this week's Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week awards in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC).
Matkin won Player of the Week after hitting .500 through four games. The senior had three home runs and eight RBI while also stealing two bases.
Kleinfelter repeated as Pitcher of the Week as he threw another complete game shutout. In seven innings he allowed just three hits while striking out nine.
