Joyce and Fleming Win Weekly Awards

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Baseball Players of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's. 

WHAC SID's have selected Michael Joyce (UNOH) as the Pitcher of the Week and Drew Fleming (Concordia) as the Player of the Week. Joyce tossed a complete-game shutout in a WHAC win over Cornerstone last week. The right hander struck out eight and walked one in the effort and improved to 3-0 on the season. He has yet to allow an earned run in 25.2 innings of work this season. Fleming had a huge week at the plate for Concordia slashing .647/.684/1.294 to help Concordia go 2-1 in WHAC action. Fleming had 11 hits, two doubles, three home runs and drove in 10 runs in his stellar week.
