Besser and Hanible Win Baseball Weekly Awards

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Baseball Players of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's. 

WHAC SID's have selected Grant Besser (Indiana Tech) as the Pitcher of the Week and Tim Hanible (UNOH) as the Player of the Week. Besser tossed a complete game shutout to defeat UM-Dearborn in WHAC play. Besser struck out 13, allowed just five hits and walked no one in the winning effort. Hanible helped UNOH to a sweep over Madonna and had three multi-hit games in the process. He hit .778 for the week with seven hits and a double along with an RBI and three stolen bases. These are the first player of the week honors for both players this season.
