LaRue and Puccetti Earn Player of the Week Honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Baseball Players of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's. 

WHAC SID's have selected Dominic Puccetti (Lawrence Tech) as the Pitcher of the Week and Jack LaRue (Rochester) as the Player of the Week. Puccetti pitched an eight-inning gem in a win over Madonna on April 17. He allowed just one run on six hits while striking out 13 and walking two. LaRue had a monster weekend at the plate that included hitting for the cycle. The senior had three 3+ hit games and totaled 7 doubles, a triple, three home runs and 12 RBI.
