Indiana Tech Wins Men's Bowling Tournament
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - (COMPLETE RESULTS) - Indiana Tech made it three in a row by winning the 2023 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Men's Bowling Tournament at Thunder Bowl #1. The teams rolled 20 Baker games in the first round with the top four scores proceeding to bracket play that consisted of five Baker games. Concordia landed at the top seed with a pin count of 4110 and defeated fourth-seeded Aquinas 3-1. Indiana Tech sat as the third seed and eliminated regular-season champion and No. 2 seed Lawrence Tech 3-2.
Indiana Tech defeated Concordia 3.5-2.5 after the two teams tied in the first Baker game. The Warriors become the second three seed to win the tournament (LTU did son in 2020).
With the tournament title Indiana Tech claims the WHAC's automatic berth to the 2023 NAIA Men's Bowling National Championship March 23-25 at Five Star Lanes in Sterling Heights, Mich.
