Lawrence Tech & Indiana Tech Share Men's Bowling Regular Season Title

ALLEN PARK, Mich - For just the third time in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) history and the first time since 2019, the Men's Bowling regular season title is shared between two member institutions. Lawrence Tech and Indiana Tech have been crowned co-champions of the WHAC, each tallying 78 points after the four WHAC regular season events. The fourth and final event took place on Saturday, Feb. 3 at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Mich. and Lawrence Tech earned the team victory, while Indiana Tech placed third to bring each teams total to 78 points. 

Teams earn points based on their finish in each of the four conference events: 1st- 23 pts, 2nd- 19 pts, 3rd- 16 pts, 4th- 13 pts, 5th- 10 pts, 6th- 8 pts, 7th- 6 pts, 8th- 4 pts, 9th- 3 pts, 10th- 2 pts, and 11th- 1 point.

Both earned a pair of team victories this season. Indiana Tech won the Great Lakes Open and the Jackson Open while Lawrence Tech took home the Grand Rapids Classic and the Greater Detroit Classic. 

This marks the second consecutive and seventh time overall Lawrence Teach has won at least a share of the WHAC regular season title. Indiana Tech has now won its fifth overall and second in the last three seasons. 

Up next is the WHAC Bowling Championships which will take place at Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing, Mich. Bowling will begin at 8:30am. More information can be found on the tournament page.
