Indiana Tech Finishes as National Runner-Up at NAIA Men's Bowling Championship

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – [BRACKET | SCHEDULE | NAIA RELEASE ] - Indiana Tech Men's Bowling concluded its season as National Runner-Up at the 2024 NAIA Men's Bowling National Championship at Five Star Lanes in Siena Heights. The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) was well-represented at the championship with three teams qualifying (Indiana Tech, Lawrence Tech and Concordia). The Warriors earned the fourth seed following baker game play and ran the table in the winner's bracket to earn their spot in the championships. Seventh-seeded SCAD Savannah (Ga.) lost to Indiana Tech 4-3 in the semifinals, but worked their way through the elimination bracket to force a rematch for the title. Indiana Tech dropped the first match 4.5 to 3.5 to force the 23rd and final match of the event. This time, it was SCAD who had the upper hand and won the National Championship with a 4-1 victory over Indiana Tech. The win was the first national championship for the SCAD Savannah Men's team.

Defending national champion, Lawrence Tech, was the top seed in the tournament thanks to their 5,003 pins following Baker play. Indiana Tech earned the four seed with 4,843 pins and Concordia landed the ninth seed with 4,724 in their first National Championship appearance. LTU defeated St. Francis 4-0, then fell 4-3 to Indiana Tech in the fourth round. They were eliminated in the fifth round by No.2 Marian 4-1. Concordia lost its first round matchup, 4-1, to No. 8 St. Francis (Ill.) and was eliminated in the third round by Marian, 4-1.
