Concordia Finishes as Men's Lacrosse Champions

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - After being picked to finish sixth in the preseason poll, Concordia marched through the season undefeated to be the 2023 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Men's Lacrosse Champions. It's the Cardinals first men's lacrosse title as they scored 112 goals while giving up just 71 to WHAC teams to post the 8-0 record. Concordia is riding a 12-game win streak as the team turns its focus to the conference tournament.

Defending champion Indiana Tech finished second with the lone loss coming to Concordia. The Warriors were the only team to test Concordia, playing them to within one point in a 12-11 loss. Siena Heights rounded out the top three with a 6-2 record.

Aquinas, Madonna, and Lawrence Tech all tied for fourth place with 4-4 records as each team loss to the top three teams. Aquinas' other loss came in the form of an 11-10 overtime loss to Lawrence Tech while Madonna's loss was to Aquinas. Lawrence Tech's other loss was to Madonna.

Taylor (2-6), Lourdes (1-7), and UM-Dearborn (0-8) finished out the standings.

Concordia now sits as the top seed in the upcoming Men's Lacrosse Tournament April 25, 27, and 29 with the winner earning the league's automatic berth to the NAIA National Invitational.
