Indiana Tech Four-Peats as Men's Lacrosse Tournament Champion

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (TOURNAMENT PAGE) - Indiana Tech made tied the league record for most tournament titles after winning the 2023 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Men's Lacrosse Tournament. The second-seeded Warriors upended top-seeded Concordia 12-7 on CUAA's home pitch. Tech is now tied with Davenport with four tournament titles each.

Bodley and Bramley each scored in the opening quarter for an early 2-0 Tech lead. Concordia countered with a pair of goals from Spencer Guppy and Ross Preston 30 seconds apart to knot the score. Tech snuck one in with 21 seconds left to take a 3-2 lead into the second. 

The Warriors outscored CUAA 3-1 in the second and doubled the Cardinals goals in the third with four straight goalsfor a 10-5 lead after three. 

IT continued on the offensive in the final period with five more goals while holding CUAA to two.

Preston lead Concordia with three goals while Andrew Simmons had two assists. Sam Bowling had 14 saves in goal. Noah Sorenson recorded six ground balls. The Cardinals drop to 15-2 on the season. 

 Samuel Bodley had a game with five goals and an assist for Tech and Josh Bramley added four scores to account for 75% of the scoring. Nate Langille had six ground balls and Kyle Twobulls registered 13 saves in goal to keep the Cardinals off the board. With the win, the Warriors improved to 15-3 and claimed the league's automatic berth to the NAIA Men's Lacrosse National Invitational May 10-13 in Pensacola, Fla.
