Three Headed to NAIA Men's Lacrosse Nationals

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - (NAIA Release) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) is sending three teams to the 2023 NAIA Men's Lacrosse National Invitational in Pensacola, Fla. Indiana Tech, Concordia, and Siena Heights will be playing May 10-13.

The WHAC finished with four teams in the Top 10 of the latest NAIA rating: Indiana Tech at No. 2, Concordia at No. 6, Siena Heights at No. 7, and Aquinas at No. 10. After the automatics are awarded, the at-large berths are selected from the rating.

Indiana received the WHAC's automatic berth by winning the conference tournament. Concordia and Siena Heights received at-large bids. Aquinas just missed the opportunity as formerly top-ranked Reinhardt took an at-large after being upset by Keiser in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament.

All three teams will play on May 10 as sixth-seeded Concordia battles third-seeded Cumberlands (Ky.) at 4 p.m. while second-seeded Indiana Tech and seventh-seeded Siena Heights will face off in the first round at 7 p.m.

Tech finsished as national runner-up last two years, falling to Reinhardt both times in the championship match. The WHAC has a storied past in the national invitational as a member school has been in five of the six national invitational championship matches. In addition to Indiana Tech's two trips, Davenport won the title in 2016,  Madonna lost to Reinhardt in overtime in 2018, and Aquinas fell to Reinhardt in 2019.
