Madonna Captures Men's Soccer Title

It came down to the final match of the regular season to determine the 2022 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Men's Soccer champion. Madonna entered the final day in control of its own destiny with a three-point lead over Indiana Tech and UNOH. Tech and UNOH both won their matches and a win in the nightcap by the Crusaders secured Madonna's 11th conference title with 29 points. The regular-season champion is determined by point system with three points for a win, zero points for a loss, and one point for a tie.

Aquinas finished fourth with 19 points and a 6-4-1 WHAC record while Lawrence Tech finished fifth. Lourdes (4-4-3) took sixth with 15 points and UM-Dearborn (4-5-2) took seventh just one point behind. Siena Heights rounded out the top 8 with 13 points (4-6-1).

Madonna will be the top seed in the upcoming WHAC Men's Soccer Tournament starting Nov. 5.
