Men's Soccer Tournament Bracket Announced
LIVONIA, Mich. - (TOURNAMENT PAGE) - The bracket for the 2022 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Men's Soccer Tournament has been released with Madonna as the top seed. The Crusaders (9-0-2, 14-0-3) won the regular-season title that was decided on a point system: 3 points for a win, 0 points for a loss, and 1 point for a tie.
Defending tourney champ Indiana Tech (8-1-2, 10-2-5) took the second seed from UNOH (8-1-2, 10-1-4) based on the head-to-head tiebreaker. Aquinas (6-4-1, 9-7-2) grabbed the fourth seed and Lawrence Tech landed as the fifth seed at 5-4-2, 5-7-6. The sixth seed is Lourdes at 4-4-3, 6-8-4 and Lawrence Tech (5-4-2, 5-7-6) is the sixth seed. UM-Dearborn (4-5-2, 6-9-3) and Siena Heights (4-6-1, 6-9-1) rounded out the seventh and eighth seeds.
Opening round tournament matches will be played at the higher seeds on Nov 5 with the semifinals on Nov. 9 and the championship on Nov. 12. As conference champion, Madonna receives the leagues first automatic berth to the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Opening Round. The tournament winner receives the second berth (tournament runner-up should Madonna also win the tournament).
