UNOH Men's Tennis Season ends in NAIA Semifinals
MOBILE, Ala. - UNOH Men's Tennis' stellar 2023-24 campaign came to a close on Friday, May 17 in the NAIA National Tennis Championship Semifinal round. The Racers, who entered the event as the No. 4 seed, earned a first round bye, then defeated No. 20 Dillard (La.) 4-0 to advance to the quarterfinals. In that round, they faced a familiar foe in No. 5 Westclilff, who UNOH defeated in the third place match of the ITA Indoor Championship in February. It was the Racers who prevailed once again, downing Westcliff 4-2 to punch its ticket to the semifinals. In the semifinals, No. 1 Georgia Gwinnett awaited. Georgia Gwinnett had one nine-straight NAIA National Championships entering the tournament and would eventually win its 10th after defeating UNOH 4-2 in the semfinal round. The No. 1 seed defeated No. 3 Keiser (Fla.) in the finals to win their 10th straight. This was the second year in a row in which the Racers season ended in the semifinals at the hands of Georgia Gwinnett.
UNOH wrapped up the season with a 20-3 overall record.
